Dr. Howell has a large library of movies that kids choose from.  Everyone can watch together in the waiting/play room and each patient can watch their own private movie during treatment.

We had an AWESOME time at our patient appreciation party last week.  Besides the great turnout, we had plenty of hamburgers, hot dogs and snacks for everyone!

After our bbq, we all headed over to the Scera pool for some fun and relaxation.

Our office is geared toward prevention and early detection of decay.  If a
child has a cavity, we want to catch it while it is small.  The DIAGNOdent
helps us to detect small cavities.  Sometimes when gums open up for a
permanent molar to come through, bacteria gets in before the tooth is done forming.  In this case, there is no way the toothbrush can properly clean the tooth.  The tooth continues to form while bacteria are growing just below the surface.

This is why we use the Diagnodent on permanent teeth at exams. If Dr. Howell has a concern about a permanent tooth, we use the Diagnodent.  This tool detects decay below the tooth surface by reading tooth density.  The Diagnodent helps many of our patients receive the care they need while the cavity is still small.
